"I paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know best." – Frida Kahlo
Portrait artist, Frida Kahlo, was a painter and icon of the 20th century. Inspired by the nature and artifacts of her homeland of Mexico, she employed a style that explored questions of identity, post colonialism, gender, class, and race. That's why we have added Kahlo to our Artist Collection, a selection of portraits celebrating some of the biggest names in art and music.
