WHAT IS LINO PRINTING?
So, what is lino printing? Linoleum (or lino) printing is a printmaking technique that includes three fundamental skills - drawing, carving and printing. Check out the process below:
The design is drawn onto the lino block with a permanent marker. We like to use an easy cut lino as it's easier to obtain certain artistic effects.
A design is cut into the lino surface with a sharp knife, V-shaped chisel or gouge, with the uncarved areas representing a mirror image of your drawing.
The lino sheet is inked with a roller,
and then hand pressed onto paper. You can check out our final results
